About Us

The Great Neck Music Conservatory has been one of the premier cultural institutions on Long Island for more than forty years. It is the home and nurturing ground for aspiring musicians and attracts many of Long Island and Queen’s most talented music students. Our Distinguished Faculty consists of outstanding concert musicians who perform in prestigious venues all over the world. They hold advanced degrees from the world’s leading Music Conservatories; perform with ensembles such as the New York Philharmonic, New York City Opera, and Jupiter Chamber Players; and teach at Universities including Juilliard Pre-College, NYU, Manhattan School of Music, New School of Jazz and Yale University. Most importantly, they LOVE teaching.

Our advanced students perform each year at Carnegie Hall; have summer opportunities to perform in Italy; and shine as leaders and soloists in student orchestras, operas, musicals and jazz or rock bands throughout Long Island, Queens and Manhattan. Our beginning students flourish rapidly in private lessons with our passionate faculty.

The Great Neck Music Conservatory is committed to all students; whether you are an adult beginner, a very young child or one of our many students pursuing a career in music. As a modern conservatory, our curriculum embraces all styles of music. In addition to private lessons, our course offerings include “Meet The Orchestra!” classes that give hands-on introductions to symphony instruments and orchestral repertoire; Rock Band classes, Jazz Ensembles, Drum Circle classes, Musical Theater, Chamber Music for advanced students and adults, Composition classes and much more. We invite you to browse our site and encourage you to contact us by phone at (516) 466-3994 or e-mail for information on scheduling, tuition and class or teacher selection. We do offer limited merit and need-based scholarships.

Our philosophy is quite simple: music enriches every aspect of life – so listen to it, dance it, study it, and why not learn how to create it!
