Day 14 – Last Day and Our Trip Home…

Sunday, July 15th

I wouldn’t consider this the last day. We never went to sleep last night. After dinner at Enone and hot chocolate at Nànà, we just stayed up until 2:00 when we were meant to meet the bus at the end of our street.

I was already packed. I had been preparing for returning for some days, and had been putting things away a few days before now! So when I was all done, people were still bustling around and worrying. Packing can get stressful!

I’m really sad to say good-bye to Italy. It really was a great experience for me, as an 18 year old. I experienced independence from my family and learned that I could really make it on my own in a foreign country. I learned how to depend on myself and talk to people, even if I wasn’t totally 100% comfortable. I also made tons of new friends who also grew during this trip. Not only were these 2 weeks about music, but they were about having fun, learning, and growing. An amazing experience and one that everyone should have!
