Performance with Mauro Castillo at Lang Lang Gala

It was a privilege and a blast to perform with Mauro Castillo from the cast of Disney’s “Encanto” at Lang Lang’s Fall Gala 2022 and Birthday Bash! The Gala at Cipriani Broadway and earlier Pre-Gala Sunset Soiree at Christopher Burch’s new Watermill residence are particularly meaningful to me because of the huge impact Lang Lang has had on my life since I was 11 years old.

Copenhagen with Danish String Quartet & Daniel Hope

I had an absolute blast performing in Copenhagen with Daniel Hope and the Danish String Quartet on the Series of Four at the Royal Danish Academy of Music Concert Hall.

Reviewing the concert, The Politken wrote “The American pianist Maxim Lando was truly a personality despite his 19 years, and matched Hope’s fierce violin voice with perfectly timed blocks of sounds up and down the keys.” On the program: Chausson Concerto for piano, violin and string quartet – Franck Violin and Piano Sonata – and Enescu.

Rave Reviews at Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

“The audience was mesmerized. Nailed to the seats, enraptured by his cosmos, which the young American conjured up on the stage. Completely united with the music, with the piece and with the world.”

“The young American turns out to be a real devil on the keys and the artistic discovery of this spring festival …Wild, rapid and heroic, melodic and then again with orchestral thunder.”
