Yoko Gingery (Piano & Jazz Piano)

The daughter of a piano teacher, Ms. Gingery began studying classical piano at age five in Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from Kunitachi College of Music with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music education. Soon after she moved to the United States to study jazz where she received undergraduate degrees from two of the finest Jazz programs in the country. She has studied with JoAnne Brackeen, John Patitucci and Hal Galper, among others. Ms. Gingery has performed at numerous venues in the New York City area including the Blue Note, and has toured throughout Japan. She has been teaching piano for thirteen years at schools in Tokyo and New York.
